Layers of Change: evolution & Consciousness
Life is a continuous journey of transformation. It is characterized by layers of experiences, emotions, and introspections that shape the course of existence. Just as each layer holds its significance, so does the quest for higher understanding and consciousness. Like the peeling back of layers on an onion, each stage of life represents a unique phase of self-discovery and enlightenment.
From the first breath taken as a newborn to the profound realizations in adulthood, humans undergo myriad changes; physical, emotional, and intellectual. Every phase of life, every decade, brings its challenges, and breakthroughs. A child’s innocent curiosity transforms into a teenager’s quest for identity, which then evolves into an adult’s deeper introspections about purpose and existence.
The third eye, an inner gateway to enlightenment, has been a part of human spiritual discourse for ages. Often represented as the seat of intuition and spiritual vision, symbolizing a state of elevated understanding and perception. Opening the third eye denotes a state where one’s perception expands beyond the mundane, encompassing a broader, interconnected view of existence.
It is a realization of one’s deeper connection to the universe and an understanding of the intrinsic link that binds all of humanity together. It is about transcending the physical and embracing the spiritual, realizing that humans are not merely beings of flesh and bone but also souls on a cosmic journey.
The journey towards self-realization is ongoing. In this pinky ring design, I wanted to express those layers of change and reaching the level of consciousness. Placing an unheated purple Sri Lankan sapphire at it center, representing the Jana chakra. It’s about understanding oneself but also about recognizing one’s place in the grand tapestry of existence. Each layer of experience, each moment of introspection, adding depth to the understanding of self and the universe.
Life, in all its complexity and simplicity, pushes every being towards growth. Each layer of change is a testament to the incredible journey of self-discovery and the relentless pursuit of understanding. It’s a dance between the tangible and the intangible, the seen and the unseen, driving us to awaken our consciousness and truly see the world through an enlightened lens.
